"It’s as clear as the sound of the oboe: Clouds of Rain is a marvelous piece of work that features a rare originality and masterful musicianship by Nigel Shore."

"The numbers on the current album, Clouds of Rain, are hauntingly performed. It is a disc you can play over and over again, and let yourself be transported to some sunny beach in Rio."

Clouds of Rain
The British oboist Nigel Shore recently spent three years playing in the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra in Rio de Janeiro, and on returning to Berlin where he lives and works, Nigel combined his life-long loves of Bossa Nova and classical music to record this album of instrumental Bossas for oboe.
Inspired by the music and landscape of Brazil, this CD is a colourful, sensuous journey through the tropics, presenting Bossa Nova favourites and original compositions in new arrangements specially written for the album by Nigel Shore.
Special guest appearances feature Jane Duboc, Ordinarius and Fabinho Costa.
